My name is Colleen McPhillips - I am a photographer based in Los Angeles, specializing in both film and digital photography. I work primarily in the music and portraiture space. I strive to create work that encapsulates a timeless feeling—soft, nostalgic, mystical, and dreamy—while still maintaining a narrative-driven and true-to-life essence. What began as a hobby has now evolved into an eight-year journey that feels destined to last a lifetime.

Every photo I have taken has helped me to develop a deeper understanding of my memories. I have documented moments from my early adolescence all the way into my (now) adulthood. Through my camera, these moments are tangible and exist forever - for me to reminisce, to study, and to ponder.

I have a deep love for people and the lives they live. I want my photos to be a tool for those who have encountered difficulties in being seen and heard. I feel that photographs should portray people in a light that is truest to themselves. Each and every person has a story to tell - my goal is to have my art serve as a vessel to tell those stories.
